I due bambini potrebbero essere nostri trisavoli, “partiti per un viaggio lunghissimo”. La bambina che scrive, loro discendente, li ricorda, così come il suo disegno che raffigura la grande e festosa nave alla finestra, sulla quale viaggiano. La finestra è aperta sul ricordo, sulla fantasia, sul fantastico e … sulla memoria. Fantasia, realtà, memoria si confondono nei bambini e li aiutano sempre ad attraversare le difficoltà anche più tragiche della vita. Il loro immedesimarsi in personaggi fiabeschi li aiuta ad elaborare, come insegnano. E da adulti saranno pronti ad affrontare le tempeste della vita con i suoi profondi cambiamenti? I due bambini sognano di essere, o di diventare, un cavaliere e una regina,… avranno continuato a sognarlo e desiderarlo anche da adulti?

C’era una volta è un collage che utilizza tecniche miste: acquerelli, matite, pastelli. C’è anche qui una matita sempre pronta a scrivere e comunicare.

Nell’opera C’era una volta un cavaliere il bambino sogna come tanti di essere un cavaliere, su un cavallo a dondolo con le ali. Che tipo di cavaliere diventerà o è diventato da adulto? Di spade? Di denari? Di cuori? Con tutte queste qualità insieme? Chissà…

The two children could be our great-great grandparents, “gone on a long journey.” The girl who writes them down, remember them, as well as her drawing depicting the great and festive ship to the window. The window is open on the imagination, the fantastic and … on memory. Fantasy, reality, memory mingle with the children and help them through these difficult even always the most tragic life. They identify with fairy-tale characters helps them to develop, as they teach. And adults will be ready to face the storms of life with her profound changes? In this work, the children dream of being, or becoming, a knight and a queen, maybe … have continued to dream even as adults?

 Once Upon a Time is a collage using mixed media: watercolor, pencils, crayons. There is also here a pencil always ready to write and communicate.

There was once a knight in the work the child dreams of being a knight as many on a rocking horse with wings. What kind of knight become or has become an adult? Swords? Of money? Of hearts? With all these qualities together? Who knows …
